Hot Dill Pickle Roasted Pecans

Hot Dill Pickle Roasted Pecans

Ingredients

  • 4 cups raw whole pecans
  • 4 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 3 tablespoons hot sauce
  • 2 tablespoons pure maple syrup
  • 3 teaspoons dried dill weed
  • 2 teaspoons kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ¼ teaspoon mustard powder
  • ⅛ teaspoon ground black pepper

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and set aside a large rimmed baking sheet.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, hot sauce and pure maple syrup, set aside.

  4. In a large bowl, toss the whole pecans and hot sauce mixture until all the nuts are coated.
  5. Sprinkle in the seasoning mixture, a little at a time, stirring to coat evenly.
  6. Spread seasoned pecans in a single layer onto the baking sheet.
  7. Bake for about 20 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes, making sure the nuts don’t burn.
  8. Remove from oven and allow to cool, about 20 minutes.
