Content Types

Each page on the website is built using a specific Content Type, which determines its layout and structure. This section explains how to create and edit different content types.

How to Create a General Content Page

  1. Navigate to the Website Channel 
  2. If the page needs to be a child node, find the position on the tree and click on the parent node to select it.  If the page does not need to be a child node, click on the main node at the top of the tree
  3. Click on New Page button located at the top of the content tree, or hover over the page status icon (next to the page name), click on the three dots, and select New Page
  4. Enter a page name and select the General Content content type
  5. Click on Continue button and be sure to fill out at least the required fields (the fields with the red asterisk) 
  6. Click on Save button
  7. When you are ready for the page to be visible on the website, click on Publish button

How to Create a Recipe Detail Page

  1. Navigate to the Website Channel 
  2. Find and expand the Recipes node from the tree
  3. Click on New Page button located at the top of the content tree, or hover over the page status icon (next to the page name), click on the three dots, and select New Page
  4. Enter a page name and select the Recipe Detail content type 
  5. Click on Continue button and be sure to fill out at least the required fields (the fields with the red asterisk) 
  6. Click on Save button
  7. When you are ready for the page to be visible on the website, click on Publish button

How to Create an Article  Detail Page

  1. Navigate to the Website Channel 
  2. Find and expand the News & Media node from the tree
  3. Click on New Page button located at the top of the content tree, or hover over the page status icon (next to the page name), click on the three dots, and select New Page
  4. Enter a page name and select the Article Detail content type 
  5. Click on Continue button and be sure to fill out at least the required fields (the fields with the red asterisk) 
  6. Click on Save button
  7. When you are ready for the page to be visible on the website, click on Publish button

How to Create a Research Article Page

  1. Navigate to the Website Channel 
  2. Find and expand the Professionals>Researchers and Health Professionals>Pecan Research Library node from the tree
  3. Click on New Page button located at the top of the content tree, or hover over the page status icon (next to the page name), click on the three dots, and select New Page
  4. Enter a page name and select the Research Article content type 
  5. Click on Continue button and be sure to fill out at least the required fields (the fields with the red asterisk) 
  6. Click on Save button
  7. When you are ready for the page to be visible on the website, click on Publish button

How to Create an Event Detail Page

  1. Navigate to the Website Channel 
  2. Find and expand the Event node from the tree
  3. Click on New Page button located at the top of the content tree, or hover over the page status icon (next to the page name), click on the three dots, and select New Page
  4. Enter a page name and select the Event Detail content type 
  5. Click on Continue button and be sure to fill out at least the required fields (the fields with the red asterisk) 
  6. Click on Save button
  7. When you are ready for the page to be visible on the website, click on Publish button

How to Create a Dynamic Data Reports Page

  1. Navigate to the Website Channel 
  2. Find and expand the Industry Data & Reports>Dynamic Data Reports node from the tree
  3. Click on New Page button located at the top of the content tree, or hover over the page status icon (next to the page name), click on the three dots, and select New Page
  4. Enter a page name and select the Dynamic Data Reports content type 
  5. Click on Continue button and be sure to fill out at least the required fields (the fields with the red asterisk) 
  6. Click on Save button
  7. When you are ready for the page to be visible on the website, click on Publish button

How to Create a New Item on the Sitemap Page

  1. Navigate to the Website Channel 
  2. Find and expand the Sitemap node from the tree
  3. Find and select the Column where you want to add a new Menu Item (e.g., Column 1>Industry)
  4. Click on New Page button located at the top of the content tree, or hover over the page status icon (next to the page name), click on the three dots, and select New Page
  5. Enter a page name and select the Menu Item content type 
  6. Click on Continue button and be sure to fill out at least the required fields (the fields with the red asterisk) 
  7. Click on Save button
  8. When you are ready for the page to be visible on the website, click on Publish button
