Nominations are now open for seats on both the American Pecan Promotion Board (APPB) and the American Pecan Council (APC) for the upcoming terms.

APPB Nominations for Seats with Terms Ending 2025
The American Pecan Promotion Board (APPB) is seeking nominations for the following seats whose terms will begin in October 2025 and end in September 2028.
- 3 Eastern Producer Seats
- 3 Importer Seats
To submit a nomination, nominators must complete both the Nomination Form and the Background Form and send them to [email protected]. Once the nomination period closes, ballots will be sent to producers for the producer seats and to importers for the importer seats for voting.
Nomination Deadline: February 15, 2025

Eligibility Requirements for APPB Seats: Nominees must meet the following criteria:
- Must have paid assessments in the most recent fiscal year period.
- Must have produced or imported 50,000+ pounds of in-shell pecans or 25,000+ pounds of shelled pecans on average over the last four years.
Regional Breakdown for Producer Seats:
- Eastern Region: Includes Alabama, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and any U.S. states whose majority landmass is in the Eastern Time Zone, plus U.S. territories in the Atlantic Ocean.
- Central Region: Includes Arkansas, Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Oklahoma, Texas, and any U.S. states whose majority landmass is in the Central Time Zone.
- Western Region: Includes Arizona, California, New Mexico, and any U.S. states whose majority landmass is in the Mountain or Pacific Time Zones, plus Alaska, Hawaii, and U.S. territories in the Pacific Ocean.
