Feel the Unique, Versatile, Power of Pecans

Want to join the contest? Please make sure you meet the following requirements first:

• Internet access and a valid email address.
• Must be an owner of a foodservice establishment, or a part-time or full-time chefs/operators/decision makers at a foodservice establishment and in good standing with their employer at time of participation.
• Must be a legal resident of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia.
• Must be 18 years or older (nineteen (19) and older for legal residents of Alabama and Nebraska) at the time of entry.

Submit your recipe using the form provided here. Be sure to have the following details ready:

• Your contact information including a short bio
• Recipe submission details:
  1. Recipe Title
  2. Ingredients
  3. Directions
  4. Quantity Served 
  5. Recipe Tips or Variations
• Three high-quality photos 
  1. iPhone photos are accepted, though professional photography is encouraged.
  2. Photography Tip: If you are using a smartphone, we suggest using Portrait Mode for a higher quality image.

One Grand Prize: $10,000 
Five Honorable Mentions: $1,000

All winners receive:

• “Official 2025 APPB Recipe Contest Winner” digital badge for LinkedIn 

All entries will be judged by a qualified panel of judges based on the following criteria:

• Versatility of Pecan Use 
• Creativity/Originality 
• Visual Appetite Appeal (based on photos submitted)

The top ten recipes will be prepared and judged by a qualified panel of judges and assigned points based on the following point system: 

• Versatility of Pecan Use – 1-30 points
• Creativity/Originality – 1-25 points
• Visual Appetite Appeal – 1-20 points 
• Taste – 1-30 points

The highest scoring finalist will be declared the Grand Prize winner, and the next five top scorers will be the honorable mentions.
